Overview
DealCoach is one of the most focused platforms in the business-transaction space, built on a decade of accumulated business logic, proven client workflows, and hard-won institutional knowledge encoded into every module. When the team came to Automathing, the foundation was solid. The opportunity was to make it future-ready.
Our mandate was precise: stabilize the automation layer, connect the financial data that deal-makers actually need, and extend the infrastructure to support a new generation of valuation workflows, all without touching the core logic that clients had come to rely on.
The outcome was a platform that turned ten years of investment into ten more.
Challenge
SaaS platforms built over a decade carry something rare: deep institutional knowledge, battle-tested workflows, and a product shaped by years of real client use. DealCoach had built exactly that: a platform with genuine domain expertise encoded into every module, trusted by business owners and advisors navigating some of the most consequential decisions of their careers.
With a clear strategic direction toward supporting full valuation cycles and high-stakes transaction preparation, DealCoach was ready to expand what the platform could do. The next step was to bring QuickBooks financial data into the analytical core, extend the infrastructure to match the company's growing ambitions, and ensure every part of the system was aligned with where the business was heading.
The platform was ready to do more. It needed the right partner to help it get there.
Our Approach
Automathing began with a careful review of every automation workflow, data pipeline, and integration point, understanding the full architecture before making any changes. The goal was additive: build on what worked, extend what could do more, and connect what had not yet been linked.
QuickBooks financial data was integrated directly into the platform's analytical layer, giving DealCoach's advisors and clients access to the financial context that deal preparation actually requires, available in the platform rather than in a separate tool. New reporting pipelines built with NodeJS and Google Sheets provided real-time access to deal-readiness dashboards. AWS was brought in to extend the infrastructure for static storage and scalability.
The database was audited, restructured, and migrated to a more robust provider, bringing the data layer fully into alignment with the platform's long-term architecture. Every decision was made with longevity in mind: not just modernising what existed, but laying a foundation that would make DealCoach's next decade even stronger than its first.
